Preschool

Diane Nichols-Fleming is the preschool teacher. Berlin Preschool is a part-day program. Children who are three years old by September 1st of the school year are eligible to attend, space permitting. We typically have a developmental screening in March. This is an opportunity for children to come in and play and for parents to ask questions about their children’s development. This is also a time for parents to fill out applications for the following school year. The number of sessions we offer depends upon the number of children who would like to attend preschool. There are three sessions for the 2010-2011 school year. These sessions are: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:45-11:45 a.m. (4 and 5 year olds); Monday/Wednesday/Friday 12:30-3:30 p.m. (3 and 4 year olds); and Tuesday/Thursday 8:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. (4 and 5 year olds). All sessions offer programs that are play based and help children to develop their social-emotional skills and their early academic skills. We have a lot of fun as we play and work together in our community at Berlin School.
